Trump Invites Relatives of Attacked Military Personnel to White House

Former President Donald Trump announced on the weekend that he has invited the relatives of a National Guard member fatally shot last week to attend the White House.

He mentioned that he spoke to her parents and they were “deeply grieving”.

Soldier Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a shooting on last Wednesday in DC.

Her colleague, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains hospitalized in grave state.

The president stated he’s talked about a meeting at the presidential residence for the families of both members of the West Virginia Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a hard experience, arrive at the White House. We’re going to honor her,” the president told reporters. “And likewise with him, no matter the outcome.”

Attendees gathered over the weekend at the high school in West Virginia to pay respects to Sarah.

Law enforcement have charged a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with a charge of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

The event prompted the Trump administration to suspend refugee claims and halt issuing entry permits to possessors of passports from Afghanistan.

Andrew Wolfe, a native of Martinsburg, started his military career in early 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman High, according to the Associated Press.
