Devoted supporters of the actress are calling for that a person who leaped a barrier and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing photographers and rushing toward Grande while the cast proceeded down a event pathway flanked by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being taken in", though legal records showed that he was due to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed contains recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney show in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the area last year.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is evidently a legal violation," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Past Trauma

Many supporters accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote another message on Instagram.

Several fans also criticised security officers at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while some called for online networks to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In videos circulating online, Grande appeared shocked when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Many of supporters had gathered in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The movie, to be released on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a dual interpretation of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely relationship between two very different witches.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and scored 10 award recognitions, winning several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
