Salah Issues Statement to Teammates, Discloses Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has shared that Mohamed Salah expressed regret to the team after the fallout from his televised remarks.

He was omitted from a key Champions League match subsequent to making accusations and suggesting his rapport with Arne Slot had soured.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”
The manager has refused to disclose on whether he received a personal apology from the player.
Looking Ahead
The player stated that the team's response remained positive. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” he continued.
The midfielder also noted that a competitor wanting to play is less of an issue. “I understand there are specific approaches you can go about things,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just sit out, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Team Form
The team's performance have stayed unbeaten in the matches since the interview fallout. Jones believes the Salah's words were never meant to cause disruption.
“In moments of frustration, it’s always been from a place of caring,” Jones concluded. “That chapter is closed and we’re uniting strongly, performing and on a positive run.”
